What’s a mailbag?
Well, it’s a bag. And inside… there’s mail.

And in the old days, when a writer would publish his opinion in a newspapers, some readers would send him a letter, usually because they agreed or disagreed.
I just finished a big freelance writing project yesterday.
I don’t do those jobs anymore.
Now I’m focusing 100% on teaching.
But when I said “yes” to this project, it was last summer.
Martina was a student who really felt bad about her English.
I could tell every time she opened her mouth, every time she made a sound… she wasn’t sure about her words, my words, even if she could finish the sentence she was trying to form…
Then one day, as we were sitting on my couch in my apartment, drinking coffee and talking about I don’t remember what, she told me none of her friends spoke English.
“Interesting,” I thought.
This week we’re asking the question: Can adults learn English faster than children?
I say, “Yes.”
With a big IF following right behind it.
