Wednesday afternoon.
Waiting for the tram.
I kept my phone in my pocket.
Instead, I watched people walk by.
Usually, nothing happens when I do this.
But when one of the people walking by happens to be a Hare Krishna and you make eye contact…
THE LESSON
“Oh, you speak English!”
He was delighted.
I took off my hat and he saw my haircut.
“Oh, you’re already a monk!”
He was thrilled.
And when I told him “No, I don’t want the book” for the third time, he was unshaken.
“Don’t think about it,” he said. “You don’t have to read it. Just take it home.”
“Hmm, good advice,” I thought.
BABY STEPS
Want to start a reading habit?
Buy a book and put it next to your bed.
Want to watch more English TV?
Get a Netflix subscription.
Want to listen more?
Get an Atomic Homework subscription.
Don’t overthink it.
Just take the first step.
The second step will follow naturally.
I know this works because two years ago I moved into an apartment that had a piano.
Now I play the piano.
Cheers,
Mr. Vig

Lavanda. Delighted!
Hi.
I just finished a seminar on investments.
When learning (anything) or teaching (any) foreign language, the principle is the same. What we invest comes back to us many times over.
I am grateful and satisfied.
Good luck to all readers, students, citizens, monks, refugees, artists or investors.
