If you do not agree, please do not buy or use our products.By buying, you confirm that you are 18 or older, that the information you give us is true, and that you have the right to use the payment method you enter.
1. What we sellWe sell three types of product. Different rules apply to each, so find yours below.One-time digital products. You pay once and download a file. Examples: the Atomic Word Dictionary, the Atomic Business Word Dictionary, ebooks and guides.Subscriptions. You pay every month or every year and get access for as long as you keep paying. Examples: Atomic Homework, Vig Village, flashcard access, and any other membership.Live events. In-person meetups, such as Vig Village Vacations.
2. Your accountSome products need an account. Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account.Your account is for you alone. Do not share your login with other people. If you do, we may close your account without a refund.
3. Prices and paymentAll prices are shown in euros unless we say otherwise.We take payment by card through Stripe. We also accept PayPal and bank transfer for some products.Your bank may charge you a fee for paying in a foreign currency. That fee is not ours and we cannot refund it.We may change our prices. If you already have a subscription, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before a price change affects you.
4. Subscriptions4.1 How billing worksYour subscription renews automatically. If you pay monthly, we charge you every month. If you pay yearly, we charge you every year. This continues until you cancel.We charge the same payment method you used when you joined.4.2 TrialsSome subscriptions start with a trial. The page where you buy will tell you how long the trial lasts and what you pay.When the trial ends, your paid subscription starts automatically at the price shown when you joined. We will send you an email before this happens.4.3 How to cancelYou can cancel at any time. Click “Cancel” inside your account, or email us at help@mrvig.com.If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not charge you again after that.We do not give partial refunds for time you did not use. See section 6 for refunds.4.4 PausingYou can pause a monthly subscription. The pause starts at your next billing date, not immediately. You can pause for up to three months in any 12-month period.If you want to stop for longer than three months, we will cancel your subscription instead. You can rejoin later, but you will pay the price we charge new members at that time.Yearly and quarterly subscriptions cannot be paused during the period you have paid for.To pause, email us at help@mrvig.com before your next billing date.4.5 When we can close your accountWe may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your payment fails repeatedly, or if you behave in a way that harms other members or our staff.
5. Live eventsTo join a live event, you must register and pay in full.If you cancel: You get a full refund if you cancel up to two weeks before the event starts. After that date we cannot refund you, because we have already paid for the venue and other costs.If we cancel: You get a full refund of what you paid us. We cannot refund your travel or hotel costs, so please buy travel insurance.You are responsible for your own travel documents, visas and insurance.To cancel, email us at help@mrvig.com.
6. Refunds6.1 Our 30-day promiseIf you are not happy, email help@mrvig.com within 30 days of your payment and we will refund that payment in full. You do not need to give a reason.This applies to one-time digital products and to subscriptions. For subscriptions, we refund the payment you are asking about, not every payment you have ever made.Live events follow section 5 instead.6.2 Your legal right to cancel (EU and UK)If you live in the EU or the UK, the law gives you 14 days to cancel an online purchase and get your money back, without giving a reason.Our 30-day promise above is longer and easier to use, so most people will use that instead. But your legal right stays yours. Nothing in these terms takes it away.To use your legal right, email help@mrvig.com with your name and the date you bought.6.3 How we pay you backWe refund to the payment method you used. We do this within 14 days of agreeing to the refund.6.4 After a refundWhen we refund you, your access ends. You must stop using any file you downloaded and delete your copy.
7. How you may use our productsYou may use our lessons, files and videos to learn English yourself.You may not:
- share, sell, copy or upload our files or videos
- share your account login
- use our material to teach paying students of your own
- record our live lessons or meetings
- copy our material to build a competing product
- use our material to train an artificial intelligence system
If you do any of these, we may close your account without a refund and take legal action.
8. Community rulesVig Village, our group calls and our live events are shared spaces. To keep them useful for everyone:
- be polite to other members and to staff
- no selling, advertising or recruiting
- no hate speech, harassment or threats
- do not share private things other members say outside the group
We may remove any post, remove any member, or end a membership for breaking these rules. In serious cases we will not give a refund.
9. RecordingsWe sometimes record group calls and live events, and we sometimes take photos at meetups. We use these to teach and to show people what we do.If you do not want to appear, tell us before the call or event and we will do our best to keep you out of the recording. You can also keep your camera off.
10. Our contentEverything we make — lessons, videos, dictionaries, flashcards, emails, and the Mr. Vig name and logo — belongs to Mr. Vig LLC.When you buy, you get permission to use it yourself. You do not own it.10.1 What you postIf you post something in our community, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to show it inside our community and to quote it in our teaching and marketing, without paying you.Do not post anything you do not have the right to post.10.2 If we use your wordsIf you send us a review or a message and we want to use it publicly with your name, we will ask you first.
11. What we do not promiseWe teach a method that works when you use it. But learning a language depends on your own time and effort, so we cannot promise you a specific level of English, a test score, a job, or a result by a certain date.Anything a member says about their own results is their own experience. It is not a promise of what will happen for you.We are not a school and we do not give official certificates or qualifications.
12. When things go wrongWe try to keep everything working, but we cannot promise the website will never go down. If we have a technical problem, we will fix it as fast as we can.We provide our products “as they are”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses. If we are responsible for something, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.Nothing here removes rights the law gives you as a consumer.
13. Changes to our productsWe improve our products over time. We may add, change or remove lessons and features.If we stop a product completely, we will tell you and refund any period you have paid for but not received.
14. Changes to these termsWe may update these terms. The date at the top shows the last change.If we make an important change, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you. If you do not agree, you can cancel.
15. Copyright complaintsIf you think something on our site copies your work, email help@mrvig.com. Tell us what the work is, where you see it on our site, and how to contact you. We will look into it and remove anything that should not be there.
16. Problems and disputesIf something is wrong, email help@mrvig.com first. Almost everything gets solved this way, and it is faster than anything else.These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], USA.If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, this does not remove the protection the law of your own country gives you. You can also bring a case in the courts of your own country.If a court decides one part of these terms does not work, the rest still applies.You may not transfer your account or these terms to someone else. We may transfer them if our business is sold.We are not responsible for delays caused by things outside our control, such as natural disasters, war, strikes or internet failures.These terms are the whole agreement between us.
