In 2004, when I first moved to Prague, my students told me they took SIX WEEKS of vacation every year!
I was shocked.
Then, in 2019, when I got a job at an American company and moved back to the US, they gave me only TWO WEEKS of vacation.
I was horrified.
Now, I’m a business owner and I never have a vacation.
But I’m neither shocked nor horrified.
Because I like my work.
So I work.
Even on holidays.
Even at the weekend.
Even when I’m traveling.

I’m on my way from Slovenia to Italy.
Can you believe, I’ve visited over 40 countries and lived in Europe for over 20 years yet I’ve never been to Italy?
Well, in a few minutes, I’ll have another country to add to my list.
And when I’m there, I’m going to see if it’s possible to take some time off.
A little R&R, as we say in English.
