I got lucky.
Just when I left Prague in June, the heat wave arrived.
One day it was over 100. (Yes, Fahrenheit.)
What is that in Celsius?
SCORCHING!
And because my apartment is on the top floor, it gets extra hot.
So when I came back on Wednesday, there were some surprises waiting for me.
First, one of my houseplants didn’t survive.
But the other one is doing just fine.
Go figure.
Next, my poor beers.
Some of them stayed safe in the fridge, but the others in the pantry weren’t so lucky.
I haven’t tasted them yet, but I’m sure it was a flavor apocalypse.
And most interestingly, there was some melting that happened.
Specifically, a bar of chocolate and a candle.
That’s hot!
