I just had my weekly piano lesson.
Honestly, I wasn’t looking forward to it.
The piece I’m learning is difficult.
My progress has been slow.
Last night I didn’t sleep well.
So I was anticipating a disastrous lesson.
But that didn’t happen.
My teacher wasn’t disappointed.
Instead, she was excited.
She had nice things to say.
Once she even clapped.
Like an arch that holds up a bridge, she supported me.
That’s what a cheerleader does.
And that’s what we all need sometimes.
Have a great weekend,
Mr. Vig
P.S.
When English is a challenge, who supports you?
One of the best places to find support is from your friend and your community.
That’s one reason I built Vig Village.
Inside, you’ll find lots of friendly, supportive native speakers and members who can be your cheerleaders.
You can also practice speaking any time, any day.

Vig Village will reopen the first week of September.
