On Monday, I went for a walk.
Out here in the country, you can either walk on the road or you can walk through fields or forests.
I prefer fields and forests.
But there is one downside.
You’ve got to be careful.
You might be attacked by…
CHIGGERS!
You’ve heard me talk about ticks.
Chiggers are worse.
You can’t see them.
You can’t feel them.
And you never get bitten by just one.
What happens is, the day after your lovely, relaxing walk in the fields and forests, you wake up with dozens of red dots on your legs.
And these red dots…
ITCH LIKE CRAZY
They itch all day.
And they itch all night.
For several days.
So yesterday afternoon I decided I had suffered long enough.
So I drove into town to get a steroid shot from the doc.
I remember the last time I had to do this (Yes, I made this mistake before. No, I did not learn my lesson.), it cost me about a hundred bucks.
The current price?
$200!
And that’s just to get in the door.
The shot and pills and creams cost extra.
As I said yesterday, everything’s getting more expensive.
Even a walk in the woods.
Cheers,
Mr. Vig
P.S.
Today’s Atomic Word of the day is….
Suffer!
What can you suffer from?
What can you suffer in?
I like yuo history 😃
