I went to the gym yesterday.
It was the first time in a long time.
After eating hotel food for a week, I went to the pool yesterday and squeezed into my bathing suit, which used to fit comfortably. That’s when I decided it was time.
The gym receptionist handed me a price list.
I could pay for one day, ten days, one month, or longer.
I took out my phone and did the math for ten days and for a month. (I’m only here for a month.)
Then I asked a better question.
Instead of trying to save a few baht, which choice would give me the result I wanted?
Which choice would get me to go to the gym more often?
I’m already motivated.
But if I buy the monthly pass, I will also have a financial incentive.
That means if I go a lot, I’ll pay less per visit. But if I don’t go, I’ll waste my money.
So I bought the monthly pass!
And I went again today and I’m going again tomorrow.
See how that works?
