This is a true story.
A man in Washington, D.C. dropped off a pair of ordinary gray trousers to have the waist altered.
The tailor lost his pants.
So he sued the business (took them to court to get money).
For how much?
$67 million!
His argument?
There was a sign on the wall that said, “Satisfaction Guaranteed.”
NEVER GIVE UP
Well, guess what the court said?
“No way.”
But he didn’t give up.
He appealed the decision.
That means, he took it to a higher court.
That court also said “No.”
So he appealed again.
Again, the answer came back, “No.”
He could have kept appealing the case all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court, but he dropped it.
What did he do next?
He probably went shopping for some new pants.
