Why is it unusual?
It’s too formal.
And too British.
Americans would never use it in conversation.
What do we say instead?
PACKAGE DELIVERY
Why am I thinking of packages today?
Because I’m about to get a very special package.
When I checked my phone this afternoon, there was a message that said someone tried to deliver a package to my apartment.
But they couldn’t.
(That’s because I never turn my phone on or check email before noon.)
(No, not because I’m lazy and still sleeping! Because the morning is when I do my best work and I don’t want to be disturbed.)
So now I have to go pick up my package at the post office.
