Welcome to the final chapter of cheese.
This week we’ve been exploring the many wonderful ways to use this simple English word.
Cheese.
LET’S REVIEW
What’s another word for the big boss?
What’s a euphemism for “fart”?
What kind of a love song or romantic movie makes you go, “Oh, that’s terrible”?
(If you don’t remember, go back and read the earlier lessons on the blog.)
CHEESE OFF
“What cheeses me off?”
That was the question I asked myself as I sat down to write today’s lesson.
I thought and I thought and I thought…
Finally, I found an answer: “People who watch videos on their phones in public.”
That cheeses me off.
Then I realized something interesting…
When I was in my twenties, everything and everyone cheesed me off!
People who smelled bad…
Politicians who didn’t answer questions…
Barking dogs….
Everything!
But that was exhausting.
So I cut back.
Now, not so many things cheese me off.
What about you?
As you get older, do more things cheese you off, or fewer?
Have a great weekend,
Mr. Vig
P.S.
Americans don’t say “cheesed off.”
What do we say?
And what’s one more way to use “cheese,” which we didn’t talk about this week?
Listen to today’s Atomic Homework lesson to find out.
