“Globetrotter.”
That’s what one Vig Village member called me during our lunch together in Sofia.
It’s a colorful expression for someone who travels a lot.
Except for the next four to five weeks, I can’t go anywhere.
I’m…
STUCK
Here’s why…
I got my passport in October 2016.
That’s almost ten years ago.
Which means it’s time to get a new one before the current one expires.
So last week, I got a new photo taken, filled out the government paperwork, paid the fee ($130!), put my passport in an envelope and sent it all to the U.S. Embassy in Prague.
And this is interesting: you can’t walk over there and drop it off.
Nor can you mail it to them.
You have to pay about ten extra bucks for a private courier to pick it up and deliver it.
The bottom line is…
Now I don’t have a passport!
So even if I do get the urge to hit the road… to wander… to ramble…
I can’t!
I’m stuck in Prague.
Cheers,
Mr. Vig
P.S.
The Atomic Word of the Day is “stuck.”
You now know one common meaning of the word.
But do you know the other two?
Let’s talk about that in today’s Atomic Homework Audio.
Not yet a member?
P.P.S.
Plus, I’ll explain…
“Bottom line.”
“Bucks.”
And “urge.”
