I want to get away
I wanna fly away, yeah, yeah, yeah
-“Fly Away”
lyrics by Lenny Kravitz

Hello from the lovely Pirin Mountains.
I just arrived in the ski town of Bansko last night.
What am I doing in a ski town in June?
It all started in 2023 when I was a digital nomad.
I came to Bansko for three months.
It had always been my dream to spend the winter in a ski town.
And that’s what I did.
I worked in the morning and went skiing in the afternoon.
Then, on the last day of the ski season, I broke my leg, missed the flight to my next destination — Mexico — and decided to stay for another three months while my leg healed.
I liked the spring and summer here so much, I’ve returned every summer since.
Bansko is now my favorite summer getaway.
Cheers,
Mr. Vig
P.S.
You know the word “get.”
You also know the word “away.”
But what’s a getaway?
How else can you use it?
What’s the verb?
Let’s talk about and then practice this common Atomic Phrasal Verb in the members’ area.
