Want A Better Life? Ask For “Unlimited”

“Record numbers!”

That’s what I read about tourism in Europe this summer.

All the capitals will be full of people. 

That’s why I love Bansko in the summer: it’s a ghost town.

I just got back from the pool. 

The lady who works there told me, “You can buy one day for 15 lev or one month for 250 lev.”

It took me about one second to decide: “I’ll take one month.”

Will I get my money’s worth?

I don’t know.

I didn’t bother to do the math. 

But I do know this: I’ll swim more if I have an unlimited pass. 

And swimming is good.

I’ll feel better, sleep better, look better and think better. 

I made a good choice. 

Now what if Mic down at the Pivoteka had asked me a similar question last night?

“Do you want one beer for 15 lev or one month of beers for 250 lev?”

Unlimited beers would not be good. 

Because I would definitely drink more beers. 

And currently, I drink the perfect number of beers every week. 

So I don’t need any more.

Unlimited swimming: good.

Unlimited beer: not so good.
