School taught us to want to be perfect.
Bad idea.
Perfect is not your friend.
Perfect is a death spiral.
Thou shalt make an enemy of Perfect
You try to be perfect and you fail.
(You fail because no one is perfect; even native speakers make mistakes)
Then you feel bad.
So you speak less.
And you improve slower.
Maybe you even quit.
Instead, do this:
Enjoy English now.
Get better every day.
Perfect? Never!
Congratulations Ryan and A HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
Thanks!
I like idee perfect never
HI
All things we need to improve our english for becoming confident are available, such as interacting with differend people who leave comments, watching videos witch illustrate the themes, but I tell myself : you need more time to speak english better before joining Vig village. yet I don’t try to be perfest but I’m sure that I can do better. And you?
👍
You’re right, we need to try to be a bit better every day by talking with our peers, but never expect to be perfect. That will allow us to relax and talk freelier, without stress.
My hope is not to be perfect, I dream only to be able to hold some decent conversation.
Hi, you are right ! Interseting and good idea… Everything I do, I try to do it perfectly. But I tolerate inperfection in other people. You give people gourage. Thank you very much for your opinion.
