When I travel to a foreign country I order the local food.
Tacos in Mexico.
Curry in Thailand
Pierogi in Poland
Gulas in Hungary.
It’s usually cheap and delicious.
So last weekend, when I travelled to Stockholm, I went to a restaurant and ordered meatballs.
They were delicious.
But they were not cheap.
How much do you think I paid for six meatballs and a scoop of mashed potatoes?
I’ll give you a hint.
The next time someone asks me how much it costs to join Vig Village, I’ll tell them, “For only 20 Swedish meatballs a month, you can enjoy interesting conversation every day with native speakers and friends from around the world.”
In IKEA Bratislava the price od 8 pcs is 2,99€
I was thinking same that every IKEA meatballs are very cheap…
Probably it depends on restaurant and Stockholm doesn’t belong to the cheapest places in the world
Hi Ryan !
What îs your favorite food in Prague ?
Cheers
Gabriel
I would to enter in the vig village….
Hello
6 meatball will be 29.7 without pruce of mashed potato😁
That’s about right!
30 EUR for your meal. Not cheap but expected in Stockholm.
definitely it’s much better joined Vig village than will eat 20 meatballs per month 🙂
I agree
For only 20 Swedish meatballs a month, I could enjoy interesting conversation every day with native speakers and friends from around the world? …After reading your hint: 99€:20= 4.95€x6= 29,70€ without the scoop of matched potatoes.🙈…and inclusive the scoop? I assume… perhaps… around 35€?
I suppose you didn’t visit Ikea to have that meal. Fortunately the food was delicious.
By the way, here in Finland 8 meatballs with mashed potatoes costs 5.99 € in Ikea.
Well, I like meatballs at home or in other country, like domestic or national meal. In my opinion, that’s same in every country with some or little difference. National restorants are not usually cheap, maybe in some local small places and in other, not expensive, countries. IKEA is Swedish but I dont like their food. I hope you enjoy and that your meatballs were better, maybe delicious, not only expensive… What is national British food? 😉😋😀
Good night.
A portion of Swedish meatballs + mashed potatoes + 1 beer? Maybe €20 – €25?
Here we see that everything is relative. What is cheap for one may be expensive for another, etc… The choice is yours😊
Sir kindly join me in the discussion
I travel around Finland. The forests are rich in berries and mushrooms. And it doesn’t cost anything.
I think one price is in restaurant and another price in local place
You dont come to Turkiye ever.. Inflation is 61%.. Everything is so expensive.
This episod was very interesting and instructive!
