I’m playing piano
I’m studying English, I think normal people say.
But, I know an interesting situation with the meaning of words. In Romania we have a
nice word, like ” take it easy with the piano on the stairs”…!!!
In this particular expression ” piano” has the meaning of slowly (like piano, pianissimo)
When you heard this word, you know that there is someone that is not so happy with your improvement.
But, let’s take the positive side!

I think we can say I am studying, as well as I am learning. Because a lot of people “studying” English in school for 10 years, and It does not sound that weird.
Thank you for the very useful topic. My everyday problem is how to say:
THANK YOU FOR… SOMETHING
or
THANK YOU ON … SOMETHING
I’m learning English, it’s my hobby. I’m not good at it yet, but I’m getting better every day. It makes me happy😊. To you, Ryan – good luck with the piano!
My English level is: sometimes I feel like I’m studying the language, other times when I read Vit. V for example, I feel like I am learning it.
I feel more comfortable reading than speaking English, maybe because when I encounter unfamiliar words I study their definitions from the dictionary to learn them.
Me too. I enjoy reading in English because that way I can go on by my own speed😊, when I’m listening I often feel like I’m running to catch up with someone all the time. 😕
