OPERATION, PART TWO

Two years ago, I was a digital nomad living in Bansko, Bulgaria.

Then, I broke my leg skiing in the rain.

I had an operation, the doctor put some metal in my leg, and a three-month trip turned into six.

Why am I telling you this?

Because last week, I finally got the metal removed!

I’m looking forward to not setting off the metal detectors on my next trip to the airport.

But until then, I’m spending a lot of time on crutches and on my couch.

CAUTION: FREE ENGLISH AHEAD

Google “free English conversation” and you will find a ton of options.

My student Eva found one of these sites and thought “Great!”

Until she found out that there are no moderators on these sites and sometimes you can meet creepy guys.

As we say in English, You get what you pay for.

A BETTER SOLUTION

You need to practice speaking.

But you don’t want to go to London or a school or download another app.

And you definitely don’t want to practice with strange, odd, creepy guys.
