Hello from someplace new!
For the next few weeks, I’m rusticating in an empty ski town.
This is my third summer in Bansko.
I came here to relax, catch up with friends, attend a conference, and of course, get some work done.
Then, at the end of my stay in Bulgaria, I’ll travel to the Black Sea to meet with some of my Vig Village members for a weekend of sun, fun and English.
Reason #2 To Visit Bansko In The Summer
Yesterday, I was getting a coffee in the kitchen of my co-working space and started a conversation with a German expat who was doing the same.
Bulgaria is popular with German digital nomads because they can save a lot on taxes here.
“Why Prague?” he asked me.
“It’s beautiful. You’ve got to live somewhere. Why not somewhere with beauty?” I told him.
That’s also how I feel about Bansko.
Except, instead of beautiful buildings and parks like in Prague, there are beautiful mountains all around.
I’m looking at one right now outside my bedroom window.
There’s still a little snow on the summit.
Lovely.
Cheers,
Mr. Vig
P.S.
Rusticate…
Expats…

I wish you a wonderful vacation in Bansko.
Nice to see a little snow on the summit of the mountains now in June and you’re the second guy I heard talking about winter since the last few days…unusually!
HAVE A NICE STAY ! …. ENJOY.
I had been south part of Bulgaria, the area named Pazhachık, it was summer time, l also got a chance to go to the mountain and visit some Rose orchards there.
Hi! About these smart words… I thought my memory is bad, but suddenly… now I see these words and voila – I remember them! Allthough last time I saw them about two ears ago in Vitamin V. That´s good, right? Thanks to you, thanks to your Vitamin V, Ryan!
Enjoy and relax in Bansko!
P.S. My favorite here – RUSTICATE
Thank you for the smart words! The word “nomads” seems to be an international word.
Hello Mr.Vig
becouse I had some problems with my subscription I can not ask you some simple questions from previous lessons and I would like to ask you now with your permission. The first one is: about close and open. You write : the casine was not open, the casino was closed. The question is : if casino was closed ,the casino was not opened.
And my second question is about two different words with very similar pronanciation : tail and tale. When I listen to your ” tale about the tail” I heard them like the same word and I was unable to distinguish them.
Thank you very much for your answer
Sincerely
Luba
Rusticate… too many meaning. One is:
The student was expelled for cheating on an exam.
The student was rusticated for cheating on the exam.
Just reading and repeating the word “rusticate” made me miss the simple, natural life I remember from my childhood.
I often walked deep in the forest with my father… and I also remember my grandmother’s little gray house.
The warmth of those memories still warms me and makes me write stories about them.
