Do we still need teachers?
I mean a teacher who knows your name.
And maybe who is in the same room as you.
I say, Yes.
Here’s why…
A Free Piano Lesson
I have a friend from out of town staying with me for a few days.
Whenever this friend stays with me, he immediately goes to my piano and starts playing beautiful music.
And since he’s been playing since he was a little kid, he’s quite good.
So last night, I took advantage of the opportunity to get a free lesson.
You see, when I moved into this apartment, it came with a piano.
So rather than just let it collect dust, I decided to learn how to play.
Last summer, I bought an online course.
Sometimes I watch YouTube videos.
And the rest of the time I just try to figure it out by myself.
This was the first time I had human eyeballs on my fingers.
And before I could even ask my question, he told me, “Put your fingers higher up on the keys.”
I did and – Much easier!
No course, no YouTube teacher, and not even the best AI could have told me that.
Sometimes, you need to talk to a human who knows your name and who uses his/her eyeballs to see what you really need.
Cheers,
Mr. Vig
P.S.
Did you know that every Saturday afternoon I meet with Vig Village members on a private Zoom call?
This is their opportunity to talk and get feedback from a human who knows their name.
If you are an adult, at the intermediate level, and want to improve your speaking skills by talking with other humans, then I invite you to try Vig Village.
Go here to try Vig Village for ten euros for ten days:
Thanks. You encouraged me as a teacher. I wish everyone a day full of harmony.
