Last night, I went to an Indian restaurant with an English friend.
“I’ll take the Vindaloo chicken,” he said.
“That is very spicy, sir,” the waiter warned him.
“Very spicy for Czechs?”
“Yes, sir. Very spicy for Czechs.”
“Ok then, I want it extra spicy.”
The chicken arrived.
He tasted it.
“This isn’t spicy at all,” he said.
He then ordered a bowl of crushed chili peppers to sprinkle onto the dish himself.
Soon he was sweating and having trouble speaking.
“Now it’s spicy!”
He was happy.
