Peripatetic.
That’s the word you don’t need.
Why don’t you need it?
Because 99% of native speakers don’t know what it means.
In other words, it’s not useful.
Definitely not a Power Word.
But I use it all the time now!
Here’s how and why.
And how you can start activating any English word you want….
A Vocabulary-Changing Email
I wrote a friend recently to wish him a happy birthday.
He asked how I was doing.
I told him about my travels.
And he said he admired my peripatetic lifestyle. (it describes someone or something that travels)
“Hmm”, I thought. “Nice word.”
I decided right then that I would use this word more often with my friends.
And now I use it all the time!
Even when we’re not talking about travelling!
They must think I’m so clever.
And what’s my secret?
How do I — and how can you — use words more often?
How can you activate any word you choose?
Oh, it’s very complicated.
Ready?
If you want to use a word… use it.
