Friday I told you I find cemeteries lovely and peaceful.
What could possibly make an old cemetary lovelier and more peaceful?
Snow!
Greetings From Snowy Prague
Finally, winter has arrived.
Your travelling teacher spent a mild December in Turkey.
Then I travelled to Prague for Christmas.
It’s great to be back in the city where my teaching career began.
And it’s great to finally see it covered in snow again.
A Mystery
While wandering around my neighborhood cemetary Sunday, I discovered another interesting tomb.
Do you see the eye at the top?
Does it look familiar?
It’s the same eye that’s on a US one dollar bill.
When I was a kid I examined the pictures and words on the American money.
(I guess I had more free time.)
And I always thought that eye was pretty weird.
Then when I saw it again here in Prague, I had to solve this mystery.
“What’s up with the eye on the one dollar bill?” I thought.
So you know what I did?
I Googled, “What’s up with the eye on the one dollar bill?”
And you know what I found?
Well, I’m not going to tell you!
Go. Google it. Get curious. Ask the world many questions in English. And you will get many answers in English.
And you’ll get better English.
Is it Mason’s sign?
Like all symbols, there’s more than one meaning…
I was watching some National Geographic documentaries with the explanation that the magic eye at one dollar’s bill is one of Mason’s signs! Maybe Prague cemetery had been built initially by Masons?
Enigme at the cementary is do interesting! And this specjal metaphysical eye! What is the difference between cementary and greiviard.?
All the best for my best Teacher, Mr. Vig!:-)
They’re the same. But to my ears, cemetary sounds more formal and like a nicer place for a picnic. When I think of a spooky place with ghosts, I think of a graveyard.
And the Eye of Providence probably noticed the beauty of snow/lovely snowing🤍💭 …..
despite the “idilic” surrounding.
The eye of God watches over humanity even in Prague.
The Eye of Providence is supposed to be seen for the first time on Christian paintings above Jesus as a symbol of God during the Renaissance (about 1500AC). Then the symbol was largelly used in post revolutionaryFrance for the declaration of human equality, then in Great Britain and by the fathers of the first 13 states of America (1700-1800). Disembodied eye seems to be created to understand its symbol but also to imagine many hiden ones like about Freemasonry or Illuminaty.
In truth, the “Eye of Providence” an uncanny and frankly odd choice for a US symbol of state. The disembodied eye strongly conveys the sense of a prying authoritarian Big Brother. In combination with the pyramid beneath it, we have emblems suggesting an ancient and esoteric cult.
I have found: The Eye of divine Providence, satanic symbols on banknotes, The Illuminati, The latin sentences which means Annuit Coeptis and Novus Ordo Seclorum. Thank’s for a very interesting topic!
