STUDENT: I want you to correct my mistakes.
MR. VIG: Unfortunately, that doesn’t work.
STUDENT: But I do a lot of mistakes.
MR. VIG: Make… You MAKE a lot of mistakes.
STUDENT: Yes. That’s right. So please correct me when I do a mistake.
Students always ask me to correct them.
When I tell them it doesn’t work they look at me like I’m telling them the earth is flat.
They just don’t believe it; or they don’t want to believe it.
It would be nice, right?
You talk to a teacher for an hour, he corrects you twenty times, and now you make twenty fewer mistakes.
Great!
But unfortunately, it’s only a fantasy.
Here’s why:
If you’re making a mistake regularly, it’s probably now a habit, and habits are powerful.
The route you take to work every day… what you do every evening before bed… which leg you cross over the other…
Those are all old and strong habits.
Just like your mistakes.
How do you break a habit?
You don’t.
You replace habits.
You say the correct way so many times…
Or you put so much correct English in front of your eyeballs and into your ears…
And then one day, the old, incorrect way of speaking disappears.
But not because of me.
Because of you.
I agree, thankU
Ryan, you are also great psychologist.

This is very good way to learn and know english perfectly. Thanks!
It is similar in our life.Only when we become aware of our mistakes can we begin to correct them.
That’s a great lesson for everyday challenge, indeed.
