I have a rough idea of how a car works.
There’s gas; it explodes; there’s energy; wheels turn.
I have no idea how AI works.
I talk to my phone and a human voice does whatever I tell it to do.
Is there an elf inside?
Is it magic?
I don’t have a clue.
ROUGH #4
This week, we’re exploring five ways to use Atomic Word #2,431: Rough.
Go here for Rough #1 and #2 and #3.
Rough #4 is about being close but not exact.
I don’t know the exact temperature today, but I have a rough idea: it’s cold.
My toilet exploded.
I asked the plumber how much it would cost to repair.
He didn’t know exactly, but he said he could give me a rough estimate: it would be expensive.
I met someone new. She says she lives in Prague 22. I have a rough idea where that is: it’s south of the center.
ROUGH #5
There’s still one more way to use “rough.”
I often use it when I talk about writing.
But I want to wrap this up today and start a new word next week.
So if you want to hear my explanation and examples for the fifth way to use this powerful word, you’ll have to upgrade to Atomic Homework Premium.
