I used to live in Prague.
My apartment was right in the center, just a few blocks from Old Town Square.
And, of course, I would see lots and lots of tourists on the streets, in the shops, and in the bars and restaurants.
I’m sure they all enjoyed exploring the lovely streets of Prague.
Except those who didn’t have even a basic level of Englihs.
I saw them struggle and shout and wave their arms to get what they wanted from the English-speaking waiters, shop assistants and taxi drivers.
This reminds me of an old credit card commercial in the U.S.: “Don’t leave home without it.”
TIP #1
My first tip comes from a student writing on the Vitamin V blog.
He says, Don’t worry about your mistakes.
Wow! That’s great advice!
I wonder who taught him that:) …?
Your mean, old English teacher from childhood didn’t get on the airplane with you.
It’s just you and the waiter, barman, hotel clerk who wants to help you.
So relax and enjoy the free practice!
Hmm.. where is everyone? On a trip, I guess. I’m a little jealous, but not too much. I’m at home. I rest perfectly all the time. And life is interesting and fun. And I enjoy Vitamin V every day. I will definitely need all them tips in the future. I promise, I don´t leave them at home, Mr. Vig.
American with English humor, interesting :-). Have a nice time everybody.
