Starting your own business so you can have more time is like having a baby so you can get more sleep.
That’s why last Monday, during a national holiday, when normal people were relaxing in the park, I was working in the park.
I was shooting videos for my new youtube channel.
(In case you missed it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=
And with me, acting as director and cameraman, was my friend, Lukas.
“It’s kinda windy…” I said, looking for an excuse to go home.
Lukas’ reply: “The purpose is not to make it great; the purpose is just to get started, right?”
Absolutely right.
And the video wasn’t great.
It wasn’t even close to great.
In fact, I made a long list of things to improve for next time.
But I got started.
And that was the goal.
So, mission accomplished.
And that should always be the first goal.
Whatever you’re starting…just get started.
How simple.
But of course, many of us have a different first goal: make it perfect.
And when will it be perfect?
Tomorrow.
Always tomorrow…
Here’s a better idea: Get started right now. Be perfect tomorrow.
