Horses: Dead And Alive?
Have you ever ridden a horse?
Horses are those things our great-grandparents used when they needed to get to the airport fast.
What about a dead horse?
Have you ever ridden one of those?
No?
Me, neither.
But I bet it’s a slower than rush hour in Los Angeles.
It’s also a fantastic metaphor for improving English.
If what you’re currently doing to make your English stronger isn’t working, it’s like you’re riding a dead horse.
It’s not taking you where you want to go.
Makes sense, right?
But you’d be surprised at how many students keep doing the same thing, for years and years, and expect different results.
In other words, they keep riding a dead horse.

Riding a dead horse – sounds so funny :DDD but it’s definitely not. In the past, when I made this kind of mistake, I used to come off after 2 months at the latest – after taking off the rose-colored glasses ;D.
