Greetings from the Hugarian capital!Β
Iβm back on the road, travelling around Europe after two months catching up with friends in Prague.Β
On Saturday, I met some Vig Village members in-person for the first time (everyone looks so much bigger than they usually look on Zoom…)Β
On Sunday, I met an old high school friend I hadnβt seen in 32 years.
And tomorrow Iβm going to check out one of the cityβs famous spas.Β
Travel is adventure.Β
And hereβs an easy way to ad more adventure to your next trip…Β
Stay At An Airbnb
Have you ever used the Airbnb website?
I love it!Β
When you stay at a hotel, nothing interesting ever happens.Β
But when you stay at a private apartment, even getting inside is an adventure.Β
Here are the instructions for getting inside my Budapest Airbnb:Β
- type the secret code to get through gate
- type the same code at the buildingβs entranceΒ
- open the third doorΒ
- look for a bicycle with a lock box and enter another secret code to get the keysΒ
- walk up one flight of stairsΒ
- use the red key to open the hallway door on the right
- inside the hallway, use the white key to open the first door, which is the apartment door
What fun!Β

I am wery happy
Jajajaja Yeeess it’s super fun!! How well you put it together Mr Vig!!!π
You are right :),but not only Budapest Airnbn is funny……we have also the same adventures in Italy and Lissbon. Nice to met you and thanks!
A secret code, what a nice idea…!
I like the secrets and the challenge to find them.
Hi! Welcome in Hungary, Mr Vig! To your question: I haveβn experience with the Airbnb. But the secret code is using in generally everywhere, unfortunately.Yet! Enjoy our Budapest!
In my opinion all of this is so complicated, that whoever uses the Airbnb apartment also uses their brain.
I haven’t been to Airbnb yet. Mr. Vig you are very lucky person because you are doing what ever you want and move from place to place.
Hi Ryan!
Fun, very fun storyπ€£. Seems a safe place, right?
Enjoy the spa and other adventures!
Long road β¦ to be in
Beautiful story. I also experienced such an adventure. You have a lot of searching and discoveries to do. Really fun !!! Many Thanks!
Hi Mr Vig, nice to hear about your route to the room with the secret codes. What about leaving from the roomπ€ Does it also happen with secret codes or without codesπ
Geeez…is it the Alcatraz or what? If you have too much (Hungarian) wine, you might not be able to remember all the codes ππ
ο»ΏThe next apartment to mine is Airbnb, I don’t know to be so fun with a lot of codes
Instructions in Croatia are much simpler. π
HI Ryan !
Very funy and interesting ypur story.
Cheers,
Gabriel
Better more keys than no keys π
Thanks for learning a new exprection “walk up one “flight” of stairs”
Thats right! This self-check in can be the funny begining to your tripπ
Once we could not find even the private apartment door, it was hiden among so many apartments and it was rainy nightπ I think we walked around that house 10 times π
Great teaching of English.
better not lose the key
The key is the order of the keys :-))).
Only to read them I became headache π π
hahaha
Sound like mystery adventure
I’ve spent a night at Airbnb in Cheske Budejovice with the same instructions. But more interesting is to be hosted via Couchsurfing, where you meet locals.
Thank you !My conclusion about your story,is , that : Airbnb, need clever clients.
you’ve made me laugh! keep enjoying your trip π
OMG π
I haven’ t experienced with an Airbnb, But I think that is much more interresting than staying in a hotel!
