How About A Robot For A Teacher?

In the future, will the robots take your job?

Will they take my job?

That’s the big topic this winter.

If you’ve been hiding under a rock, what I’m talking about is Chatbot GPT. 

It’s a new AI (artificial intelligence) software that can do amazing things, including writing legal contracts, writing computer code, and writing poetry and fiction. 

All for free and all in a few seconds. 

The impact this will have on the world could be huge.

And what about your English?

Will you fire me and choose a robot instead?

Will the robots do a better job?

Will they send you a better, funnier Vitamin R daily email lesson?

Adventures At The Grocery Store

Greatings from the Bulgarian mountains! 

I am a travelling teacher.

And this winter, I’ve decided to work and ski. 

I’m having fun and getting a lot done. 

But it seems all my biggest adventures are happening in the Aldo Supermarket. 

Monday I was shopping for coconut oil (It’s healthy whereas seed oil is not). 

I found a can with a picture of a coconut on the label. 

It felt like a safe bet, so I bought it.

But later at home, it didn’t quite look right.

Here’s the label: 

“What did I buy?” I wondered. “Is this really oil?”

So I used my new translation app on my phone to find out.

Here’s the translation:

I think my job is safe at least for another week.
