What were you doing this time last year?
I was living as a digital nomad.
That means, I travelled the world with one bag and lived in Airbnbs.
Last January, I was in an Airbnb in Prague planning my next move.
In the end, I decided that two and a half years bouncing around the world like a rubber ball was enough.
So I got an apartment.
And one year later, here I am.
One Year Already…
Time is speeding up.
What will happen this year?
I don’t know.
But I do know 2025 will pass by quicker than 2024.
And the best way to fight time is to improve yourself and improve your life.
So when we have this conversation next year, you’ll be able to say, Yes. I improved my English.
And because my English improved…
I got a better job!
I traveled without worry!
I had my first conversation with new family members!
I started my dream business!
I got a compliment from my spouse!
Or, I got more money from my boss!
Wouldn’t that be nice?
Or will another year pass and your English and your life will be the same in 2026….?
Yes, you need to improve yourself, to quite the comfort zone, to be enthusiastic in order to face time; an old word said about knowledge it have terrible roots but sweet fruits.
Unfortunately, I’m making very slow progress in learning vocabulary. But I’m making progress and that’s importent. I still need time to be able to speak English confidently. Perhaps until 2026 after all ?
You are not only good english teacher but very motivating and inspiring teacher! Thank you for that, Ryan! I am improving my English and my life too! I’m happy now! Thank you once again!
Last January I used to watch TV in the evening. In February I came to Vig Village. I am still here, so this fact speaks for itself.
Only, I like grammar. I would like to know how is this comment written. Sometimes, at work, I check my text on Internet, but that is a machine checking, without feeling for language.
Generally, I am satisfied. Thanks to Vig Village, Ryan, Marni, Beth, Dayna, Erin, Francine, Jessica… and many members i meet almost every day for coming into my life.
So glad you’re a Vig Village citizen!
Please take me off from your (spam) E-Mails. Best regards!
Thank you !
