Yesterday, I asked for advice on how to keep your brain young.
I got some great tips!
My favorite: “run after goats and sheep.”
That’s good advice for any age!
Young At Heart
Did you know you can be old and young at the same time?
I remember a dinner conversation I had with a college classmate many years ago.
I told her that after graduation I was going to live and work in Paris.
She told me, “I could never do that.”
She was only 21 and already old.
Yet, I talk to Vig Village members every week in their 50s, 60s and 70s who are meeting new people, learning new things, and exploring new places. (We’re planning our last meetup for 2024 in Malta.)
In English, that’s what we call “Young at hear.”
“Young at heart” – a great expression! It is better than being young in years 😀
Same here. That’s a great expression, moreover, I agree, it’s a great feeling. I used to meet my former classmates, in my 20s and 30s, and they sometimes felt old being in their young years. Not only they, sometimes I did…
Mr Vig
You made me lough a lot.
I imagine myself running after goats an sheeps.
Aren’t we age we want ?
Hi, Ngone, do You mean, You was forced to swim or run in the water (in the lough or a bay)?
Sheep are not good at swimming 😃😃😃😃
I’s fuuny run after goats and sheep , haha I can imagine doing that
It’s partly true but while getting older, our memory becomes weaker.
To be young at heart – it means not be affraid to be involved in new projects, to have open mind and to believe in ourselves. I have finnished 62 year old and I just started my new yob as a spokeman (or rather: spokeperson). It gives me huge satisfaction.
Running after goats and sheeps keep one’s brain openminded and “clean”.. Question for Mr. Vig: could we get more information on Malta’s meeting.
More info for members coming soon…
♿ …🐑🐐💭Nothing like gone!💨
“Run after goats and sheep.” I read it yesterday and laughed many times afterwards.
I hope to stay young at heart.
I am agree!
It is nice idea – ” Young at heart “. Or “Heart never grows old “. Looking forward to something is good always.
I saw a lot of expressions on different pages or videos and I wonder if it can be used these expressions in the current speaking , some of them being a little exotic and tricky.
For example “young at heart” it’s a suitable expression that you can use ,no problem, but
“run after goats and sheeps” it’s more colourful and express better the youth.
I always say the age is only the number. We should do all to stay healthy and fit and every day don’t forget about laughing and smile on our face. When we have the sun in our hearts always will be young. 😊😃
All Vig vilaggers are young at heart. We all are curuios, we all like to meet new people, hear about their culture and habits. It is like playing for me. And relaxing. In the same time we learn English. That is a real win-win situation.
