You’re intermediate, right?
Your English is ok, but it needs to be better.
But how?
If you’re stuck — you don’t know how to get to the next level — I’m going to guess it’s either because:
- You’re still going to a language school, or…
- You’re still using the methods you learned in school
If that’s true, then I say it’s time to
Move The Classroom
I started teaching in Prague in 2004.
Back then, if you wanted to speak with me, you had to put on your shoes, walk to the tram or metro, go into the center, and walk into the language school where I was working.
Then one day, one of my students asked me, “Hey, can we meet on Skype?”
And that’s when it started.
I haven’t had a face-to-face lesson with a student in years.
Two Vitamin V readers commented that they made this discovery during the lockdowns.
Of course, there’s a right way and a wrong way to practice speaking.
And of course, there are other skills to improve.
We’ll talk about how to move the classroom to improve your other English skills tomorrow.
