I got an email today from an English teacher.
(When I see interesting ads for English, I click and join and sometimes buy.)
This English teacher told me when to use these prepositions:
in-on
on-off
up-down
away-back
onto – off of
And it was a lovely lesson!
There’s just one problem…
Information Does NOT Work.
“What’s Thailand Like?”
Some of the Vig Village members asked me this question during our weekly Saturday meeting.
This month and next, I’m hanging out in northern Thailand, working and enjoying new foods, sites and culture.
So, on one hand, Thailand is just like home: at one end of my street there’s a KFC and a McDonalds.
But on the other end of the street, there’s a statue of an elephant with three heads.
And you definitely do not see that back in Virginia!
Information Is Not The Solution
More information is not what you need.
Information does not make you a confident English speaker.
Just like information doesn’t make you a good tennis player, pianist or artist.
You’ve got to practice.
And the best way to practice?
With your friends.
When you practice with friends, you don’t feel stress.
Which is also how athletes and musicians practice.
That’s why I created Vig Village.
It’s the only place online where you can practice speaking English with friends.
