I don’t own a TV.
I haven’t owned a TV since I moved to Prague in 2004.
So what do I do when I find myself in an Airbnb with a TV?
I watch it!
Two Ways To Watch TV
The only challenge with watching TV is how to turn it on.
A typical remote control can have over 40 buttons.
You only need three of them.
And sometimes there’s more than one remote!
But we (usually) figure it out.
How?
Before you turn on the TV, do you study the manual?
Do you memorize the instructions?
Do you go to The Remote Control Academy and get an official Certificate of TV Control Remote Mastery?
And when you finally start pressing buttons, are you afraid of pressing the wrong button?
Probably not.
I hope not.
Instead, you start pressing buttons.
You press lots of wrong buttons.
But you learn.
And you get what you want.
Two Ways To Learn English
You can go to school, study, memorize, prepare, get a certificate and try not to make mistakes.
Or you can just start using English and start figuring it out.
Your choice.
Well, that´s why i tried to learn better english whit Mr. Vig.

Dear Mr.Vig actually this a good lesson for us.We should use our understanding world during the conversation and work practice we learn more.
Best regards
We bough a flat TV a few weeks ago, we didn’t get any help from the company on how to use it.Good thing we have grown children. They knew what to do. But we use only 5 percen of the Possibilities . The other 95 percent is to make the device more expensive.
Nice example and good lesson! Thanks!
That is true
Yes, thats true. We have to use what we have, and we will develop. Like a child when learn to speak.
Mr Vig clever and fun!
It is the oldest way to learn something by trying and getting wrong; it costs you some effort but using this method you never forget what you have learnt.
Hi! Oh yes! To learn and to do – it is a long process. Trying and trying, and now trying, and then it comes the success, but give it never up!
What a pleasure are these stories, but they are current. Many thanks
Practice makes perfect. You need to go out there and practise on the field. Theory is one thing, but it doesn’t give you enough practice. Practising by trial and error gets you going in the right direction.
Hello!
I need to use two control panel. It is good brain work when I have to know which panel I can put TV on, which one can I find the channels and which one was for volume. If I press wrong puttom I have to start from the beginning and whops!!! news are over.
Thanks a lot, mrvig.

Remove control and buttons compare to our English skills. Very usefull parallel – context.
Thanks for your “subliminal learning”.
I couldn’t agree with you more.
Consequently😅, I am restricted from figuring out the “trick” for learning English, as I don’t like watching TV.
I love you Mr Vik 🙃 Thanks for all your work💚
This is so true that I almost lost my breath just thinking about it. Just live this life. Thanks, Mr. Vig
I have a lot of fun pressing the buttons, good way to start using the English every day.
No, the only challenge with watching TV is how to turn it off ).
Thank you, Mr.Vig
Pretty cool comparison 🙂
When I need to use a new remote control in a hotel for example I used to press the buttons and see what happened.
Wright Mr Vig! Thanks a lot!
