Yesterday I said, Read fiction before bed.
My next piece of advice was going to be, Read an English novel before bed.
But it seems a few of you don’t find that relaxing.
That surprised me.
I read at least one page of a French novel every evening.
That’s my habit.
I enjoy it.
And I find it relaxing.
So who reads in English before bed?
And who finds it relaxing and who finds it not relaxing?
Tell me and maybe I’ll have some tips for you…
I think it’s relaxing to read before bed..
Better than playing on a screen
I read a Greek novel before I go to sleep.
For me is hard to read an English novel.
I hope soon to learn English books better.
I like reading in the bed. The last months I have already read 3 English books with pleasure. Sometimes at beginning a new book is little slow and difficult, but after that the story goes faster.
Exactly. Just don’t give up.
I ready your e-mal ..this Is for me relax..
Or..” this Is relax for me”…I can’t english but I have hops
I thnik it’s relaxing to redbefore bed
Yes I read some English before bed at least VITAMIN V, but also other lectures or podcasts in the evening; I find it very relaxing and likely , I don’t feel stressed..
I read English every day.
I would like to read novels in English, but I don’t know how to find one with an easy vocabulary. I tried with Harry Potter because they are novels for children and I like fantasy, but even those are full of new words, so it tired me and slowed me down a lot reading and continuously looking up new words in the dictionary
Yes, so am I.
Try books for teenagers, they’re usually not quite difficult to read and still can be interesting.
Since I have joined Vig Village two months ago, I often read a few pages of an english book in my bed, but not every evening. It is pleasant for me. This enjoys me and I hope improve my english so
i do duolingo before bed
Sometimes, me too
Relaxing I read
I find relaxing
I see a movie every day before sleaping! It’s good!! I never see the end……
Are you so tired , ha,ha
It’s the conclusion….but it’s good…i sleep good every day!!!
When I read you relaxes me, I feel good(because I undertand it and I feel happy).
I don’t relax me if I read English novel, but this is true if I try to read in my native language
I will start to read a easy English book, soon
I never read before bedeutet. I supose to try, reading frech novel. Surprize.
I do love reading English books before sleeping, I relax also, but I’m too interested and curious, so forget about falling asleep!
I read book every night before I go to sleep. This is my habit. But … this is on my native language.
I tried to read English novel, but it’s not enjoyable enough – maybe the novel is not interesting for me and I have to find more appropriate.
I will try to make reading at least one page of an English novel every night my habit.
I haven’t tried yet.
Mr.Vig, I read your text before I go to bed. It makes me pleasure because your English is simple and my knowledges od English is’nt well.
The best “medicine” before bed (to fall asleep quickly) is reading😄👍
Seriously? I like to start my day by reading a book. It doesn’t matter what language it’s written in…
It is interesting. In how many languages can you read?
I used to read English books in my bed but i gave up the practice and got discouraged by to much unfamiliar vocabulary.
Maybe my answer comes a little late…
I think as you do that reading before bed time is relaxing..
As you, I read much more than one page of my french novels
and it helps me to feel asleep…But reading in English requires
a fresh and efficient brain so it can only be in the morning after
flash cards and bridge audio!
I hope ,with your help and support, that reading in english will be
pleasant and perhaps fascinating.
I like to read before bed. My book this week is “the Giver” to Lois Lowry. I rentre it at the library. I’m able to read one, two or three pages but I take time. I don’t understand all but I can understand the sens (can I say “sens” ?) And the feeling. It’s a level for me 😅
Rent (not rentre)
I think better expression it “meaning”. The “sense” has a bit different meaning – It doesn’t have any sense to do that…
Oh thanks very much for your answer. Now I’ll know to use meaning and sens.
For me it’s relaxing if I choice a book with a pleasant history.
I never tried before, because for me, reading a book in English is quite a training. I have a pencil in my hand to underline the words I don’t know, and I go to the dictionary ( I now I’m not following the rule ).
But now, I’m going to change that and try to read it like a pleasure, ( nevermind the vocabulary I don’t understand ) like a way to help me fall asleep.
Thank you for the reminder.
