Huh?
Is that correct?
I’m an English native speaker.
But sometimes, when Brits speak, I’m not sure if what they say is correct.
As you’ve probably noticed, their English is a little different.
Last week, I was in Warsaw meeting Vig Village members.
And the elevator in my hotel spoke with a British accent.
She said, “The car is running down.”
I would say, “The elevator is going down.”
I know the Brits say “lift” instead of “elevator.”
But do they say “running down” instead of “going down”?
I didn’t know!
So I sent a Whatsapp message to one of my English friends in Prague.
His answer: “No.”
That’s what I thought: The elevator / lift needs English lessons.
Here’s another elevator / lift that needs Scottish lessons:
Enjoy,
Mr. Vig
HI Ryan !
What you said I think can be part of
British humor !!!
Cheers,
Have a nice weekend !

It’s good that elevators in Latvia still have buttons 😂😊
:-D, no comment, nice 😀
👍😁🤗😜🙏
You was in Warsaw? That is nice.
Best regards Ela
I think they said “running down” in high-speed elevator/lift. But in Latvia there is only one high-speed elevator – in the television tower in Zaķusala.
Very pleasant evening reading and listening. Relaxing humor and interesting thinking about communication. How we say what, how we hear what. What is right and what is wrong.
Please , more movie like that. 🙂
The future or even the present becomes dangerous like your lessons ;-).
It’s funny to watch 😉
it’s nice to see every night Mr. Vig vitamin.. I know that there will be something funny , inetesting , and we learn somethig new. Thanks for that… have a nice weekend!
Marjana
You’re welcome!
Hi! The language is a very interesting phenomenon: it exists British, US, Australian etc English, plus World /International English. Big distance, a lot of million citizens, other line of social, economical development…and that has a deep reflexion in the language. Hungary is a small country, only 10 million people, and other “language: pronunciation, words…” speak/use in Budapest, in a county city or in a small village in Eastern Hungary. We try understand each other.:)))
Fantastic!!! 😂😂 “FREEDOM! FREEDOM! ” 😆
Thank you Ryan for sharing this video. I’ll go to sleep with a smile on my face. Good night
See you later ele….Thanks.
I’m so happy an elevator has a button in Poland 😁 Have a nice day.

Thank you Mr. Ryan 🙂
I had a lot of pleasure to look to the movie. My morning can’t be bad anymore.
It’s a funny situation, it’s for laughing but not at all because it’s.also a little sarcastic that we can speak with the elevator…..AI, I guess??
