Being a teenager isn’t easy for most kids.
Here’s what made my teenage years rough.
ROUGH TIMES
First, we moved to a new city.
Then my mom announced she wanted a divorce.
Then I was sent away to boarding school, far from home, family and friends.
And finally, I didn’t like the kids at the new school and they didn’t like me, either.
Rough years, indeed.
But I love being an adult!
ROUGH #3
This week, we’re exploring six ways to use Atomic Word #2,431: Rough.
We’ve all had rough days, rough weeks, rough times, and maybe even rough months and years.
Not fun.
Meaning #3 is about bad times.
“It was a rough couple of months after the accident.”
“The divorce was rough on him.”
Also…
You can can use “rough” if you’re not feeling well.
“I was feeling rather rough after my 7th covid shot. Then I got covid. For the 7th time.”
I hope your rough times are in your past.
TOMORROW: More rough!
Cheers,
Mr. Vig
