Judge A Book By Its Cover — Good Idea Or Bad Idea?

Should you judge a book by its cover?

Let me give you an example…

There’s a bar in Prague called U Sudu.

From the street, it looks like a small wine bar in a dark room with just a few seats.

I must have walked by it a hundred times without seeing a reason to go inside.

Then one year, a friend took me there and said, “Let’s go downstairs.”

I didn’t know what he was talking about but I followed him.

In the back of the pub, there was a small door which led to a staircase.

The staircase led to a bigger room, which led to a bigger room, which led to a tunnel, which branched off into more rooms.

It was so big, you could get lost!

But you would never guess that just by looking at it from the street.

And that’s our third book idiom: Don’t judge a book by its cover.

Good advice.

Keep an open mind, and life will surprise you.
