I got an email yesterday from a Vig Village member.
He started learning English in 1956.
He’s now 84 years old.
How ’bout that.
BECOME A LIFELONG LEARNER
You may have to quit golf because of your back.
Your career will probably wind down.
Your beauty will definitely fade.
But you can stay curious until you die.
As another Atomic Homework reader said, “I want to learn more. It feels great.”
Exactly.
Cheers,
Mr. Vig

It’s March, fom now spring is coming..
Here in Romania, we have a beautiful fresh tradition to celebrate The begining of The Spring
Children, especially the boys give little presents to girls, their mother or ladies
The present is a little thing, a flower, animal, butterfly or a lucky symbol along a
red and white coloured thread. We call it MARTISOR and it is worn on the chest.
It says the red and white thread protect us from bad things and give good luck
I think that I am lifelong learner. I started learn English in 1970. I knew rules, grammar, theory. I couldn’t speak because I wanted create too long sentences. I was blocked. I knew that there were mistakes in my long sentences so I didn’t speak them. Nobody trained us in conversation. Nobody trained us in aural comprehension. I finished learning English in 1983, after study. I was able to read and write. I didn’t need English in my life in that time. We couldn’t travel, my job didn’t need English. So I forgot rules, forgot words. I started again learning in 2000. I started to travel and I needed English to talk to people. I didn’t have enough time to do it. Job, family etc. Since 2020 I have been retired and now I have time ( but my memory isn’t so good). I want to talk to foreign friends and it is good for my brain. So I keep learning.
