My Personal Philosophy For Lines And English

There’s always a faster way.

If…

You’re comfortable leaving the crowd.

That’s my personal philosophy (translation: I didn’t get it from a book; I created it myself).

Let me explain…

LUCERNA MUSIC BAR

This summer, I took a few Vig Village members to Lucerna Music Bar — my favorite club in Prague.

As the night went on and the club got more crowded, the line at the bar got longer.

I don’t like lines.

And whenever I find myself waiting in one, I wonder if there’s another line somewhere else that no one knows about…

Usually there is.

At Lucerna, it’s upstairs on the second floor.

But first, you have to leave the crowd.

And most people aren’t comfortable doing that.

THE SHORT LINE FOR ENGLISH

There are a lot of words in English.

You don’t need most of them.

That’s the long line of English.

The short line?

Mastering the few words that are repeated again and again and again.

Of course, I’m talking about the Atomic Words.
