Sunday night I stayed home and watched a movie.
The movie was called The Apprentice.
It’s about the relationship between Donald Trump and his attorney and mentor, the late Roy Cohn, in the 1970s and ’80s in New York.
I can’t recommend it; too dark for my tastes.
But there was one thing I really liked…
THREE RULES
There’s a scene in the beginning of the film when Trump asks Cohn how he wins so many court cases.
“I have three rules,” says Cohn.
The first rule: Attack. Attack. Attack.
Regardless of whether or not you agree with that as a personal or business strategy, you gotta admit, Cohn gets points for simplicity and clarity.
And I love simplicity and clarity.
The Vig Method
Saturday afternoon I was speaking with some Vig Village members on Zoom.
We were reviewing my rules for learning English.
I now see they need to be simpler.
So this week, we’re going to hammer them out together.
Tomorrow: Mr. Vig’s SIMPLE Rules for Stupendous English
