In the elevator, the person next to the buttons asks me “Which floor?”
In the grocery store, the shop assistant wants to know, “Do you have a club card?”
And at the restaurant, the hostess sees me walk in and says “Would you like to sit inside or outside?”
All this happened in English.
I could have been a native Spanish speaker, a native French speaker, or a native Greek speaker.
But everyone goes straight to English.
I can’t imagine travelling without this language.
Sunscreen… a hat… a sweater….
Accidentally leave those at home and you can buy a new one.
But not English.
HI !
Usually those from trade,restaurante,hotels,prefer address
themselves in English.
Have a great weekend !
Nowadays, I can’t imagine traveling without English or life as a whole without English because this language is a part of everyday life. Thanks for your efforts to teach English excitingly!
You are very welcome!
Indeed. And thank you!
You are absolutly right! Thank you so much!
It’s so exciting that I still can’t believe I’m going to an English school and I understand everything my teacher says 🙂
It can only get better…
Nice to hear it! Nice to read it!
English = lingua franca now
So true! Can’t live without English!
It is true, traveling without Inglish is difficult. And it´s nice to learn English when it´s delivered to your home like Mr.Vig does.
