It’s frustrating.
You spend years learning English.
Then you try to watch the latest Netflix series…
And you can’t understand what they’re saying!
But I want you to know this…
It’s not your fault.
Can’t hit a golf ball straight?
No one ever taught you the correct way to hit a golf ball?
Then it’s not your fault.
School don’t know how to teach understanding.
They think listening to a ten-minute CD twice a week will do the job.
It won’t.
Instead, here’s the simple formula that works for my students:
Listen.
And listen every day.
Simple.
Unfortunately, it’s not a quick solution.
That’s the bad news.
You may have to listen for weeks, or longer, before you feel results.
But the good news is, you can — and should — enjoy it.
I give you permission to listen to interesting podcasts, fascinating audio books, and addictive Netflix series.
Now go improve your understanding.
And enjoy it!
