I used to live in Los Angeles.
There’s a gym there called “L.A. Fitness.”
It’s on the second floor.
And there are two ways to get inside.
You can either walk up one flight of stairs.
Or you can take the escalator.
Can you guess which option most people chose?
The Lazy Learner, Part Two
But lazy isn’t always a bad thing.
My best students don’t wake up at 5 AM to study phrasal verbs.
And they don’t sit in classrooms for hours and hours at the weekend.
Instead, they are efficient.
That means, they don’t waste time.
For example, watch a talking dictionary (also known as “an English teacher”) on YouTube and they will tell you about all kinds of words you don’t need and will never hear.
That’s a waste of time.
Mastering The Power Words – the words that are in every sentence – that’s a good use of time.
New words, new time.
Hi, clearly most people will take the escalator. 🙂 When Im not a hurry, I walk up the steirs from the fifth floor. I want to move…
I prefer go by steps because I like moving. But mostly I’m in a hurry.
I much prefer taking the stairs if I have the choice. I have two aims : speaking English fluently and staying fit 🙂
They choose escalator to go to the gym? It’s perfect to be lazy and appreciate learning with having fun. I,’m now a perfect mouse potato with my English but after i need to move to be fit. Thank to you Ryan i’m making good progress.
I wonder is this possible to be fit and lazy…?
Everyone wants to avoid stairs, it is to difficult and it takes some time…
I liked your text very much!
I am agree with you.
