Sometimes the best word isn’t a word; it’s a sound.
Let me give you an example.
I just got back from the metro station.
Unfortunately for me, I discovered an exit tunnel that’s also used as a toilet by the homeless.
Of course, it smelled bad.
But I didn’t say to myself, “This smells bad.”
Instead, I said a sound.
Do you know what sound an American makes when he/she smells something bad?
I’ll give you some guesses:
- Wow Wee
- Fuj
- P.U.
- Blah
Leave your guess on the blog.
And tomorrow I’ll give you the answer, plus I’ll share a new sound you should know.
1st answer: wow wee
4) Blah!
Fuj
D) Blah
P.U.
Blah
Fuj from polish
In Czech fuj, in English blah. I think so.

The good thing about tunnels is they are, fortunately, an entrance and an exit ..and when you get out you forget the bad smell.
