Everyone learns “smart” on their second day of English class.
Instead, if you want to sound smart, say “wise” or “wisdom.”
Example: Improving your English now is a very wise thing to do for the future.
A Wise Expression
An Expression With A Lot Of Wisdom
Have you heard this one?
It’s a short expression, but it contains a lot of wisdom.
It goes like this…
“Do you know the two best times to plant a tree?
The answer is, ten years ago and today. “
That’s true with so many other things.
There’s probably so much you wish you had already done.
Is it also true with English?
Would your life be better now if you had started English earlier?
Would you have a more interesting job?
Would you have a better paying job?
More customers?
More international friends?
Something else….?
But that’s the past.
And you can’t change it.
So what can you do?
Start now.
