I flew to Asia last week to attend a conference.
(More on that later.)
On the airplane from Mumbai to Bangkok, the stewardess asked an important question.
She asked, “Are you comfortable in English?”
You see, because I’m tall, I paid a little extra to sit next to the emergency exit where the seats have more leg room.
And because those seats are next to the exit, you have to be able to understand the stewardess’ instructions in case of an emergency.
I told the stewardess, “Yes, me speak the English real good.”
But the two ladies sitting next to me just stared at her.
“Are you comfortable in English?” the stewardess asked again.
They just kept staring.
And a few moments later, they were sitting in the back of the plane next to the bathroom.
They should have subscribed to Vitamin V…
The good idea is for everyone to subscribe to Vitamin V… Welcome back, Mr.Vig!
Yes! They should have subscribed to Vitamin V…! of course!
It looks like is very important to be comfortable in English in some situations!
We miss you… , welcome back, let’s continue with Vitamin V
Yes, I agree, they should have subscribed to Vitamin V.
Welcome back, Mr. Vig!
🤣👍Well done! “Me speak English real good”.
Wonder whether these ladies were just surprised by your English grammar or really didn’t understand the question. 😂
“Are you comfortable in English?” – interesting questionand striking answer. I missed your messages.Welcome back!
Why do you answer “yes, me speak the English…..” and not “I speak English…. ”
what is the diffrence?
…perhaps to emphasize the difference…As far as I’m concerned: I’m comfortable in English.💭
Yes they should have subscribed to Vitamin V
i am from Greece and i am in China. in China almost nobody speaks English I meet a Chinese English teacher whose accent was so Chinese that i couldnt understand him. At first i thought he was speaking another language ….. come to China great country but no English
It seens, not everybody understood the point.
Her English was not correct, so Mr. Vig answered in the same way.
And the two ladies had to move, since these seats are near emergency exit and in a case of emergency passenger sitting there should understand Englesh to follow the stewardess instructions.
But, if she speaks like that, maybe it would be some problems.
Good morning, EVERYBODY. I’m Vanya from Bulgaria. Nice to meet you, Mr. Vig. You attracted my attention and here I am. Let’s see for how long you could keep it. You seem to be fun and full of surprises. Surprise me.
It seems that I need a Vitamin V for dealing with a computer. I thought that I managed to write a comment here but now I can’t see it. Anyway, my point was that I, as a disabled person, always get those back seats close to WC.I have no choice because I always use assistence. I love to travel but have difficulties with carrying luggage. I envy you that you have been to this part of the world that is unknown to me.
Do you know that disabled people always get the window seat. I thought how nice of the flight companies but then I found out that it was embarassing to disturb the other people when you need to go to the bathroom. And again as a disabled person you have no choice. I tried to get the seat close to /I don’t remember the word for the way between the two rows of seats/ … but the flight attendants said it was impossible to change seats. And you know why? Because we are slow and the ”normal” people don’t like it that we are in their way. Nice, isn’t it? In case of emergency, the other people should be saved first.
What do you think about it? Let me challenge you. I do want to here your opinion about this issue.
