Beavers are busy.
Hamsters are inefficient.
But which creature is the most efficient?
Thank you for your votes on the blog!
The nominees include: cats, ants, leopards, squirrels, bees and hummingbirds.
Oh, and there was one vote for spiders.
But I’m afraid I had to disqualify spiders because of the scientific fact that, well, I don’t like them.
And my favorite nomination was…
THE LION
Why?
Because according to one reader, the lion sleeps 20 hours a day, then eats the prey his girlfriends caught for him.
Or is that just lazy?
Lazy like a lion…
DO YOU KNOW…

- If you want to say someone or something is efficient, there are two common idioms we use in English. One does mention an animal — but it’s a dead animal!
Want the answers?
Efficient as an Eagle.
Eagle (I don’t know if elephants are efficient).
As I do not find a proper one starting wiht “E” I have chosen one ending with the sound of “-cient” Which is “As eficient as a Wisent. Lasgest land mamal in Europe. They are enginers of their ecosystem. They clean the undergrowth with ultra-efficiency…
Yes, I agree with others members, the Eagle is efficient. It has an excellent eyesigh, good hunter and it use air current to fly and ecomize energy.

In this case, I think the same as some fellows who have already voted for an efficient creature that starts with an E. So, I would also contribute to this discussion with “eagle,” i.e., Efficient as an Eagle.
