I was on a Zoom call this afteroon.
It was a call with some business buddies.
One of the guys wants to be famous on YouTube.
- get the best camera, the best light, the best microphone
- spend hours writing a script
- read the script on camera
He showed us all his new and expensive equipment.
It looked very professional.
I’m sure his videos are going to be perfect.
And I’m sure they’re going to be…
(That’s what I told him!)
Because when you focus on perfection, there’s no room for your personality.
And people like people with personalities.
Your personality is your sense of humor.
And yes, even your mistakes.
What about when you speak English?
Are you showing your personality when you’re worried about rules?
Personality is more important than perfect.
What do you think?
